Reflection 2

C&I 438 has given me some insight to online courses a little different then the past two courses I have taken.

I visualized a course through Black board and was surprised when it was going to be through a wiki. I am glad it was through a wiki especially now that I am creating my own Wiki. I don’t think I would have done as well creating my own Wiki. I was also feeling a little overwhelmed at the start of the course because I was not sure what to expect. I think that comes with each course you take though. However, I am making my way through the course and am feeling pretty good about it.

At the beginning I was very timid about asking questions because I didn’t know how my peers would react. That has since changed and has eased my mind or fear of asking questions. Everyone is so helpful to one another. This has helped me maintain a good attitude throughout and given me some confidence. Another concept/skill I have learned through this course is Tweet deck. I was not familiar with this program before and am continuing to become familiar with it. Tweet deck provides a vast amount of information.

Before starting this course I was familiar with Wiki spaces. However, I have gone much more in detail with the Wiki since this course has begun. I would like to continue becoming more familiar with Wiki spaces and make a successful Wiki space upon completion of this course. I was also familiar with Twitter, but would also like to continue learning about Twitter and Tweet deck and use it not only for social purposes, but also educationally. It is a very useful tool.

This course has given many new insights to online learning. I now know the amount of information that is on the web including blogs, wiki spaces, tweet deck, and many more. These tools are easy to use and are easy to remember and follow.

  1. Courtney,

It's good to hear that your learning curve has flattened out. I'm also glad to hear that you've been successful with Twitter and TweetDeck - they are great tools!
